Today, March 22, marks the 83rd anniversary of the Khatyn tragedy – one of the most sorrowful dates in the history of Belarus.

On this day in 1943, a fascist punitive detachment burned to the ground the peaceful village of Khatyn along with its inhabitants. 149 people died, 75 of them children.

Since the very morning, a public laying ceremony has been taking place at the Khatyn memorial complex. People bring flowers to the famous memorial to honor the innocent victims.

A delegation from the ROO “Belaya Rus” took part in the laying ceremony, including members of the Soviet regional organization and the primary organization “Belaya Rus” of the Minsk Radio Engineering College.

This is our common memory and tribute to those who, at the cost of their lives, brought Victory closer.
