History of the organization

In October 1960, almost immediately after the creation of the college itself (then the Radio Engineering College), a trade union organization of RTO employees was established. Since then, she has been regularly fulfilling her duties to protect the social and labor rights of workers, to protect labor and improve the lives of college employees.

The years 1994-1999 turned out to be the most difficult for the trade union organization, but, despite all the difficulties and upheavals, it was possible to preserve traditions, approaches to trade union work and the number of members of the trade union organization.

In accordance with Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 2 of January 26, 1999. The Belarusian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers was re-registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus on May 19, 1999. (Registration Certificate No. 023) and, shortly after that, on June 22 of the same year, the Administration of the Sovetsky District of Minsk registered as a legal entity the organizational structure of the Belarusian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers – the primary trade union organization of RTO workers. Valentina Fedorovna Khekhneva, head of the correspondence department, who headed the trade union organization of college workers until 2004, was elected chairman of the trade union committee.

In connection with personnel changes, since December 2004, Olga Ivanovna Sanikovich, head of the radio engineering department, was elected chairman of the trade union committee. The trade union committee included young teachers and staff who were actively involved in the cause. The tradition of competition between departments was revived: departments, departments..

Currently, the trade union organization of the IRC represents the interests of the college workforce in the development and conclusion of collective bargaining agreements, as well as in negotiating social, labor, economic and professional issues with the college administration.
