Students of the Minsk Radio Engineering College attended the presentation of the book of memoirs “Children of War: Their Childhood Ended in the Summer of 1941” by veteran of the USSR Armed Forces Ilya Makarovich, which took place in the “Labyrinth” gallery of the National Library of Belarus.

The publication is timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders. The National Library of Belarus presented an exhibition of publications about the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.
The presentation was attended by authors of memoirs who survived and persevered despite all the circumstances that were not in their favor. They had the mission to witness the immediate local events of the Great Patriotic War and pass on what they saw to subsequent generations so that this would never happen again.
