About declaring 2024 the Year of Quality

Head of State Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 375 “On declaring 2024 the Year of Quality.”

This decision was made in order to further improve the quality of life of the Belarusian people and ensure the competitiveness of the national economy on the world stage , stimulating initiative, creating in society responsibility for the results of their work and a sense of belonging to the future of the country.

Within the framework of the Year of Quality, emphasis will be placed on increasing the competitiveness of Belarus through a careful and thoughtful attitude to resources, implementation of high-tech and energy-intensive projects, priority of qualitative indicators over quantitative ones. Efforts will be focused on ensuring quality indicators by stimulating initiative, introducing innovative ideas, strengthening social optimism in society, and the desire to create for the common good. Priority attention is planned to be given to the formation of personal responsibility among citizens for achieving a high quality of life (sufficient level of income, timely medical examination, healthy nutrition, good education, cultural leisure).

The Government and the Presidential Administration have been instructed to make proposals for the establishment of the State Quality Mark, its image and the procedure for assigning it, as well as, with the participation of regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee, to develop and approve a republican action plan for holding the Year of Quality in 2024.

The legal act is aimed at:
